The Power of Challenging Yourself

Today is day 15 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and this is my post #14.

This Challenge is really getting me into my daily practice again.I am eager to share each day. I love when you ask questions and when we share our writings. I learn so much from each of you and your comments.

I am thinking about a theme for the day during each day and write later. It helps a lot to know that somebody will read what I have to share and the challenge made me see that in a way I did not expect.

We are half way through and I had more views for my blog than the whole month of September. I feel like being able to write on a daily basis helps me with other things, too. I am getting things done like taxes or insurance stuff that I was simply not doing for  a while.

I flow through my day, knowing I’ll write and I’ll make the time, no matter what.

This blog challenge lead to another decision. Next month is NaNoWriMo – the National Novel Writing Month. You commit to writing the first draft of your novel, about 50.000 words, which means about 1666 word per day. That’s quite a lot.

I want to write a book and although it will be non-fiction I’ll use the energy of November and the community to write my first draft.

If you are doing NaNoWriMo, please feel free to share. Let’s encourage each other to go for it. Let’s try to do something on a daily basis and see where we get, shall we?
